Toolbar
You can find these different functions in the toolbar:
- Play-button: Reads selected text or starts reading from where the cursor is.
- Ear: Here you can adjust your reading settings
- Book: Here you can activate word suggestions, glossaries and decide if AppWriter should take context into account.
- Dictionary: In selected languages, our dictionary is also available. Highlight a word and tap the icon to look it up.
- Flag: Tap the flag to change languages and / or download languages for offline use.
Three-dash:
- Snipping tool: Takes a screenshot and OCR scans the specified area to read with AppWriter.
- Create audio file of text: Select a piece of a text and make an audio file.
- Open PDF: Opens a Finder window and then you can select the desired PDF that you want to open and work with in AppWriter. Read more in the menu item “PDF reading”.
- OCR: AppWriter Mac can OCR process PDF files. When you’ve OCR scanned a PDF-file you will be able to add your own notes in the file and makes it possible to use all AppWriter functions in the file.
- Glossaries and spelling aid: Links to open our account page where you can set your preferences. See the menu item “Glossaries & Spelling aid” for more information.
- Your account and statistics: Takes you to the accountpage where you can adjust all your usersettings and see your userstatistics. Link to the account page -> https://account.wizkids.se
- Help and Tutorials: Directlink to AppWriters manuals where you can read more about our functions.
- Logout: Logs out of AppWriter so you can log in with another profile.
- Exit: Exits the program but lets you stay logged in the next time you start the program.
